Overview

The Dental Director (DD) supports our doctors in providing quality dental care for a region stretching from Indiana to New Hampshire, which includes over 50 dental practices. Primary activities include doctor coaching and mentoring, doctor productivity, doctor recruiting and retention, and strategic partnering with operations. The DD is responsible for supporting clinicians to ensure consistency with application of research based clinical treatment protocols and quality assurance measures. This position supports our offices in Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire.

                             

This is a work from home position and requires up to 30% travel, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

Doctor Recruitment and Retention

  • Participate in Doctor recruitment and retention efforts
  • Interview Doctor candidates and provide feedback

Doctor Mentoring

  • Serve as a doctor mentor and assist with planning of regional doctor meetings to promote improvements in doctor productivity/services as needed
  • Promote continued learning and development through clinical coaching
  • Promote team building and leadership development
  • Evaluate application of treatment protocols and systems within practices while coaching

Doctor Productivity/Efficiency

  • Responsible for maintaining doctor productivity/efficiency
  • Monitor clinical performance metrics
  • Conduct quality and consistency review follow-up and remediation
  • Perform quality reviews

Strategic and Operational Planning

  • Participate in Clinical Team meetings and serves as a business/strategy/clinical resource
  • Advocate for  clinical/operational initiatives and serves as the clinical voice for the division to operations
  • Advocate for the company within the dental community and with other stakeholders
  • Implement action/development plans for doctor improvement

Qualifications

This position requires a DDS or DMD credential in good standing and active licensure. A minimum of three (3) years of dental practice and teaching or leadership experience required. Additional experience in the area of advanced care and training preferred.
